It Really Hurts challenge

Vlogger Mimiyuuuh rose to fame in 2019 when she did a viral video challenge called 'Dalagang Pilipina challenge' using the song "Dalaga" by ALLMO$T.

In 2020, Mimiyuuuh created another viral video challenge called 'It Really Hurts Dance Challenge' on TikTok using the song "Kabet" by Gagong Rapper. Her latest video challenge was accepted by both local and international celebrities like Kapuso actress Denise Barbacena, Liza Soberano, and Andrea Brillantes.

Marikit

It's almost always automatic that when people hear the song "Marikit" by Juan & Kyle, they would do the Marikit Dance Challenge, created by Magic Mannex.

The dance challenge was made even more popular by 'Eat Bulaga' hosts Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, who did the dance challenge during the show's Bawal Judgmental.

Savage Love

When American singer Jason Derulo released "Savage Love" online, it became a trending dance challenge on TikTok.

In fact, Time magazine's Entertainer of the Year, Korean boy group BTS also did the dance challenge on their TikTok account.

Wipe It Down challenge

One of the trends in TikTok this 2020 is the Wipe It Down Challenge, where a swipe of the mirror could result in a whole new look, like, as Time magazine described it, "a modern day version of Cinderella."

First released in 2016, "Tala" received a new level of popularity in the latter half of 2019 because of Sarah Geronimo's dance moves in the music video. After three years, "Tala" now has over 200 million views on YouTube, thanks to TikTok.

Sabi Ko Na Barbie

Even before the pandemic, the 'Sabi Ko Na Barbie' challenge became viral, using the phrase "Ay sabi ko na Barbie" from two brothers aged 4 and 8 when they received a Barbie doll gift from their mother.

Since then, the famous phrase became a dance challenge on TikTok that even celebrities did it.

Released in December 2019, a viral song "Catriona," inspired by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, the song soon became a dance challenge in TikTok.

"Chinita Girl" was another song that was brought to spotlight in 2020 when Austin Ong shared his choreography on TikTok.

The year 2020 also marked the release of GMA Affordabox. Aside from the product itself, a dance challenge was also introduced by no less than GMA Network's brightest artists, Dingdong Dantes, Heart Evangelista, and Michael V.
