C Candler's 100 Most Beautiful Faces was launched in 1990 and is now in its 31st year.
According to Candler, the annual list is not a popularity contest. It is also not specific to any country as over 40 countries are represented in the list.
Rather, the list also aims to "inform and broaden public opinion," as seen by the entries and winners who hail from different parts of the world.
The list is also determined with the help of the Independent Critics, a group organized by Candler and is composed of around 20 people living in various parts of the world.
These critics do their research based on various suggestions and submissions from the general public to come up with a list that represents worldwide beauty.
The list features actresses, athletes, singers, models, and other celebrities.
Last year, Tzuyu or Chou Tzuyu of K-pop girl group TWICE was hailed the Most Beautiful Face of 2019.
This year's list features two Filipina celebrities.
Actress and entrepreneur Liza Soberano landed on the 14th spot. It is her sixth appearance on the list, making her part of TC Candler's Hall of Fame. Liza was also hailed the Most Beautiful Face of 2017.
Actress and vlogger Ivana Alawi makes her debut in the list this year as she snatched the 11th spot.
A fictional character also made this year's 100 Most Beautiful Faces list as Ellie from the popular video game series 'The Last of Us' took the 82nd spot.
Meanwhile, Thai superstar Urussaya Sperbund landed on the 41st spot in the 100 Most Beautiful Faces list. It is her fourth appearance on the list.
