In an interview with Toni Gonzaga, Candy had no qualms in revealing that her marriage failed with the father of her son Quentin. In fact, she recounted the terrible ordeal she went through when she was still pregnant. Her ex-husband, whom she was in a relationship for 10 years prior to their marriage, was already telling her that he's going to leave her.
Since her failed marriage, Candy took on the responsibility of being a mother and father to her son Quentin. She also became an advocate of people with special needs since she learned about their challenges through her son who has has ADHD.
Candy Pangilinan was lucky to have worked with three biggest networks in the country. Some of her memorable projects under GMA Network included 'MariMar' (2015) and 'My Special Tatay' (2018-2019).
Her last appearance on GMA Network was in the afternoon soap 'Bilangin Ang Bituin sa Langit.'
She might have played mostly supporting roles in the past, but her performance in the independent film “Star na si Van Damme Stallone” won her the Best Actress award from the CineFilipino Film Festival and the Los Angeles Philippine International Film Festival in 2017.
Candy was also hailed as the 2020 Female Social Media Influencer in the Catholic Social Media Awards organized by YouthPinoy and the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines.
