On June 26, TV host Ali Sotto got emotional as she once again met the recipient of son Miko Sotto's left eye, Maria Esmeralda.
Miko, Ali's son with Maru Sotto, died in 2003 after falling from the balcony of his condo in Mandaluyong City. After his death, Ali decided to donate both of Miko's eyes to the Eye Bank of the Philippines.
In a taped video message, Ali said, ""I miss you! Ano ba 'yan, ang tagal na nating hindi nagkita dahil dito sa pandemic na 'to.
"Kaya hopefully, matapos na soon para mabisita mo na ulit ako.
"Tapos matitigan ko na ulit 'yung mga mata mo kasi nga, e, [kung] alam mo lang, matitigan lang kita, makita lang kita, you make me so happy na kasi bahagi ng anak kong si Miko lives on because of you."
