Actress Beauty Gonzalez was born Christine Marie Luche Gonzalez.
Her nickname and screen name, "Beauty," most probably came from the fact that she has always been noticeably beautiful.
Beauty seems to have won the genetic lottery as she inherited her looks from her Spanish-Filipina mom Carina and her full Spanish dad Manuel.
Prior to joining show business, Beauty was actually a teen beauty queen.
She was among the young women hailed to be Cebu's 12 Prettiest Teens. Aside from that, she was also crowned Miss Teen Philippines-Central Visayas back in 2006.
When asked about her beauty secrets, Beauty got candid.
"Prayers! Joke lang. They keep asking me how I'm preparing myself for every project that I do. Honestly, I always prepare myself everyday," she explained.
She also noted that she owes her good looks to healthy habits.
"I always take care of myself. I sleep early as much as I can--eight hours of sleep. Drink lots of water. Yoga, exercise," she said.
Aside from these, Beauty also takes some well-deserved "me time." For her, a sound mind is also part of what makes someone beautiful.
"Also, it's important na you do things for yourself. Even if may asawa ka na or may anak ka, you also do things for yourself. Ang laki rin ng [naitutulong n'on] sa sarili mo. You choose to be happy. Always choose to be happy. That's the secret of looking young and looking good," she said.
