Showbiz icon Kuya Germs, or German Moreno in real life, must be smiling down from heaven as his grandson, Gab Moreno, finally entered showbiz.
Gab was first seen in the telemovie "The Signs" which is part of the weekend anthology series 'Regal Studio Presents.'
Gab's co-stars were actress Bianca Umali and fellow showbiz newbies Carlo San Juan and Prince Carlos.
"Sobrang nag-enjoy po talaga ako. Actually, nalungkot nga po ako noong natapos na, pack up na. 'Ah tapos na, sayang!' I hope I get to work with them again," he shared in an interview with GMANetwork.com.
Before trying his hand at acting, Gab is a multi-awarded athlete and champion archer.
He has represented the Philippines in the 2014 Youth Olympic Games and took home a gold medal for mixed team archery.
He is also a bronze medalist at the 2017 SEA Games.
Gab's dream role is to be a leading man in a period drama.
"Dream role ko po talaga is to be in a film na naka-set during the 1800s, 'yung colonized pa tayo ng Spain. Sobrang gusto ko po talaga 'yung kuluturang Pilipino. Gusto ko po 'yung nakasuot ako ng barong," he shared.
His dream leading lady is Kapuso star Sanya Lopez, whom he has known since she was a newbie herself.
"Si Ms. Sanya Lopez po, gusto ko po talaga siyang magka-work. I've known her ever since po. Siyempre po, inalagaan po siya ng lolo ko, so parang growing up lagi ko po siyang nakikita. Matagal ko na po siyang kilala. It would be a dream come true po to work with her finally as an actor as well," he explained.

He is the son of Federico Moreno and the grandson of the late Master Showman German "Kuya Germs" Moreno.
For him, being part of a showbiz family is not pressure but an inspiration to strive harder.
He is also related to showbiz sisters Vina Morales and Shaina Magdayao, who are sisters of his mom Shiela.
His first ever show is "The Signs," from weekend anthology 'Regal Studio Presents,' where he plays Patrick, an architect.
Gab is a champion archer has been into sports since he was young.
Among his awards are a gold medal from the 2014 Youth Olympic Games and a bronze medal from 2017 SEA Games. He is also a 2015 ASEAN Youth Awardee for Sports.
Kuya Germs gave him a hero's welcome in 'Walang Tulugan' after taking home a gold medal in 2014.
Gab dreams of being cast in a period drama set during colonial times.
He also hopes to be able to work with Sanya Lopez who he has know for a long time.
