Christian Bautista sings in Mandarin for airline's maiden flight

By MARAH RUIZ
Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista was among the first to board Philippine Airlines' maiden flight to Jinjiang.

He joins the heads of PAL President Jaime Bautista and PAL Chairman Lucio Tan in the three-hour flight from Manila to Jinjiang in Southern China.

"Yes, I'm thankful that I was invited to the inaugural flight to Jinjiang. Jinjiang is rich in Filipino-Chinese ancestry, so Filipino-Chinese families will pleasantly discover their roots again," says Christian.

Last April 24, PAL added Jinjiang to the expanding list of destinations of their international flight route network.

Christian performed during the pre-flight dinner event which was held at the Hantang Ballroom of the Marco Polo Hotel. In a duet with singer Eva Poon who was also the host of the event, he sang "Please Be Careful With My Heart" in Mandarin. He also performed his previous hits, "The Way You Look At Me" and "Up Where We Belong."
