Former Pinoy MTV Asia VJs: Where are they now?

Regine Tolentino 

Before we knew her as the dance diva, Regine debuted on television as the first Filipino MTV Asia VJ in 1997. Fast forward to today, she is now an accomplished mother, business woman, dancer, host, endorser, actress and fashion designer.

Complete woman

After her marriage to actor Lander Vera Perez ended, Regine found love again in her current Dondi Narciso, with whom she has daughter named Rosie Reignee.

KC Montero 

KC was one of the most memorable faces of MTV Asia. After winning the VJ hunt with Belinda Panelo in 1999, he immediately hosted MTV Most Wanted and MTV Jams. He has also made musical collaborations in the past doing mostly rap parts in songs. After he left in 2007, he focused on his acting and local hosting career.

KC's many loves

The former MTV VJ also had himself involved in a string of high profile relationships. He was formerly married to singer-actress Geneva Cruz. After their marriage ended in 2010, he got into a relationship with actress Rhian Ramos.

Now he is married to beauty queen Stephanie Dods and together, they have one child Wyatt Cody Miller.

G Toengi 

G Toengi had a brief stint at being an MTV VJ. Back in the '90s, she was already one the most famous teen stars of her time. After her stint on MTV, she continued her acting and hosting career in the country.

Life in the US. 

Now based in the US West Coast, G started taking her graduate studies at the Antioch University in Los Angeles in 2019 and finished it just last year right in the middle of the pandemic. She is now married to Tim Walters and together they have two children.

Belinda Panelo 

Belinda Panelo first made name when she appeared in a soda commercial. Then, she became known as one of the wackiest and funniest female VJs of MTV Asia. She left MTV sometime in 2003 and got married to longtime boyfriend Joseph Lizardo.

She also made some acting stints in movies and television shows before she decided to migrate in the US.

Donita Rose 

She is one of the most iconic face of MTV Asia in the '90s. Because of Donita Rose's accomplishment, being an MTV VJ has been the dream of many and she has been their inspiration for it.

Unforgettably, her success landed her on the cover of 'Time' magazine next to former President Cory Aquino.

Actress-mother-chef

Back then, Donita has already established herself as one of the most sought-after youngstars of her generation. This fresh-faced girl had her stint at doing comedy when she joined defunct sitcom Ober da Bakod and its movie adaptations.

Now she is a single mother to her only son JP and an accomplished US-based chef.
