Any way you look at it, Michelle Dee had a great performance at the Miss Universe pageant and made the country proud.
Not only did she finish in the top 10 during the coronation night held at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in El Salvador, she was also a Gold winner for the Miss Universe Voice for Change competition and was even recently named the winner of the pageant's National Costume competition.
It's no wonder then that as she returns home to the country, she's met warmly by her countrymen who are grateful for her excellent performance in the world's most prominent and competitive beauty pageant.
"Feels good to be back home. With or without the crown, all of you made me feel like I was a winner," she wrote in an Instagram post.
"Last night was so overwhelming! All I could feel was so much love and support from all of you. It was definitely not an easy road to get to this point but everything was well worth it! Madami pa tayo pagdadaanan and I can't wait to bring you along the ride with me. Mahal na mahal ko kayo #FILIPINAS."
