Carlos Yulo wins Olympic Gold in Paris 2024

Gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo became the second Filipino to win an Olympic gold medal as he topped Artistic Gymnastics men's floor exercise event at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Competing with seven other athletes, Carlos successfully finished his routine on the floor and got a score of 15.000.

Israel's Artem Dolgopyat settled for silver with 14.966 while United Kingdom's Jake Jarman, who is half-Filipino, took home bronze with 14.933.

Carlos finished 9th in men's individual all-around. He has another chance to win another medal in men's vault event.

This is the second Olympic Gold medal for the Philippines, after Hidilyn Diaz's historic 1st place finish at the Tokyo 2020 Games.
