Juancho Trivino on first lead role in a soap: 'Parang panaginip'

Kapuso star Juancho Trivino has been snatching roles left and right, but it’s his first time in three and a half years in showbiz to land a lead role in a soap opera. He will star next to his new leading lady Louise delos Reyes in the afternoon fantasy series Magkaibang Mundo starting May 23.

“Na-overwhelm pa ako ngayon, parang panaginip pa lang lahat ng bagay,” he told GMANetwork.com in an exclusive interview during the shoot of GMA's summer campaign held at Camaya Coast in Bataan.

The hunk actor will play an unusual role, “[Ako ay] isang dwende. Para siyang fairytale [kasi] Princess ‘yung pangalan ni Louise dito. She’s a battered child na meron siyang best friend na duwende, that's me. Siguro gugustuhin kong lumaki to become a normal person for her, [to] protect her.”

Although his character is a mythical creature in the series, there will be romantic scenes between him and the actress. “It is a romantic series. It's interesting kasi it's not like other teleseryes. This has a twist, siyempre duwende [at] fantasy [siya] so titingnan natin paano ma-resolve,” Juancho said.
