South Korean authorities disclose Kim Sae Ron's cause of death

K-drama fans and netizens currently grieve the loss of South Korean actress Kim Sae ron.
According to reports, Seoul Seongdong Police Station stated the actress was initially discovered by a friend, with whom she had planned to meet. Kim Sae-ron passed away at the age of 24.
As the investigation continued, authorities finally issued a statement about the possible cause of her death.
As reported by The Korea Times and Yonhap News Agency, police confirmed there were no indications of foul play or forced entry, and they did not find any will or note left behind by the actress.
Officials stated in a briefing at the National Office of Investigation that Sae Ron's death is believed to be a suicide. The case will be classified as an unattended death.
"We believe she made an extreme choice and plan to handle it as a suicide," a police official was quoted in a report by Yonhap News Agency.
Meanwhile, South Korean media outlets reported multiple celebrities have visited the funeral hall to offer their respects. South Korean stars Han So-hee, Kim Bo-ra, Akmu members Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun were seen at the wake. Sae ron's The Man From Nowhere co-star Won Bin also offered his condolences to the family.

Sae-ron, started her acting career in 2009, and starred in films such as A Brand New Life and The Man From Nowhere. She also appeared in popular K-dramas, including Hi! School Love On, Can You Hear My Heart, and The Queen's Classroom. Her most recent project was the 2023 series Bloodhounds.
Kim Sae Ron made headlines after being involved in several scandals and rumors. In 2014, at the age of 13, she was linked to an incident involving drinking and smoking, which she firmly denied. Additionally, there were reports that she was seen playing games at a poker bar in downtown Seoul.
Last year, a dating rumor linked her to South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun. The actor's agency quickly denied the rumors and announced plans for strong legal action against malicious comments.
Despite these controversies, Kim Sae Ron's career continued to thrive, with many fans supporting her and appreciating her talent on screen.
