The sad news of the death of Red Sternberg came as a shock to many fans, who grew up watching him in the hit youth-oriented program 'T.G.I.S.'
Red's wife, Sandy, confirmed that her husband died a few days shy of his 51sth birthday.
She wrote on Facebook, “My husband suddenly passed away the morning of Tuesday, May 27th. To those who knew him from his early acting days, he was “Kiko,” but to our three kids and I he was simply Daddy/Dada. Today would have been his 51st birthday.”
Sandy continued, “Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. I would kindly request our need for privacy at this time as we navigate this difficult journey.”
With the confirmation of Red Sternberg's death, several of his showbiz friends and colleagues took to social media to mourn and pay tribute to their dearest Kiko.
