EXCLUSIVE: Diva Montelaba, hindi muna priority ang pagiging beauty queen

Nag-iba na daw ang mga layunin ni Kapuso actress Diva Montelaba. Kung dati pangarap niyang maging beauty queen, ngayon daw ay isasantabi muna niya ito. 

"I'm 25 now. Maybe I'm qualified for the last time next year but personally, in my heart, I don't think it's my priority anymore. I enjoyed pageants before I entered showbiz. I think I've passed that side of me," pahayag ni Diva sa isang eksklusibong panayam ng GMANetwork.com.

Matindi rin daw kasi ang kailangang paghahanda bago sumali sa mga pageants tulad ng Binibining Pilipinas.

"Joining is really something you need to be ready for. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. Better not join if you're not ready [rather] than joining because you're just being pressured by everyone around you," paliwanag ng aktres. 

"If anyone here needs to be ready, it should be yourself. If you are not ready, don't risk it," dagdag pa niya. 

Pero hindi pa rin daw niya tuluyang tinutuldukan ang kanyang beauty queen dreams.

"Pero still, I'm not closing doors. Ayoko talaga ng closed doors to anything that's gonna be possible. For now, it's a blurred idea. Hindi ko pa siya priority," aniya. 

Aminado rin kasi si Diva na hindi pa siya handa para muling sumabak sa mga pageants.

"I'd love to join. It's gonna be a dream come true. I don't wanna waste my chance knowing that I'm not gonna do my best because I'm not physically ready," bahagi niya. 

Bukod dito, gusto daw niyang mas pagtuunan ng pansin ang kanyang showbiz career. 

"If I were to be asked, my career as an artist is my priority—my love for dance and my love for acting muna [and] performing as an actress," paliwanag ni Diva. 

Sa ngayon, abala si Diva sa taping ng GMA Afternoon Prime series na Haplos kung saan kasama niya sina Sanya Lopez, Rocco Nacino, Thea Tolentino at Pancho Magno.
