Pauleen Luna confesses she used to be unhappy with her body

By Bianca Geli

Actress Pauleen Luna admitted she used to struggle with her weight.  The Kapuso mommy shared a video from She Talks Asia’s YouTube channel, showing various celebrities sharing what they love about their body.

In her caption, Pauleen wrote, “I was always discontented with how I looked because of my weight. I think I started to watch what I eat at an early age of 13 because people said I was always “big boned” or “bigger” than others.

She further explained, “When I looked back at my photos of when I was a teenager, I thought to myself, hindi naman pala ganun kasama! As a matter of fact, I have photos of myself looking like an unhappy skeleton. How I wish wasn’t too hard on myself! I got so carried away with what other people had to say than how I feel! I was thin but unhealthy and somehow, unhappy.”

Pauleen also shared the transition she went through after becoming a mom. “Now that I’m a mother, sure, I’ve gained unwanted weight but the joy that my daughter has brought to our lives will never compare to having a sexy body. I am now trying to eat healthier, for me and my family. I’ve also started to love my mommy body (flabs or no flabs) because this body delivered God’s most precious gift to us, Talitha, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.

She closed her caption by stating what she loves most about her body, her strength to take care of those she loves. “I am grateful for this body because it allows me to take care of the people that I love the most and that is the most important thing for me right now.”
