Catriona Gray proudly showcased Filipino culture in 'This is Philippines' video

Miss Universe Philippines Catriona Gray takes pride in Philippine culture and heritage and showcased these in her new video titled “This is Philippines.”

For its first installment, the 24-year-old Pinay beauty queen takes viewers to one of the provinces in Luzon, Pampanga, which is often called the Christmas Capital of the Philippines because of its giant lanterns.

In the four-minute video, Catriona describes how Filipinos joyfully celebrate Christmas.

“Us Filipinos love Christmas so much that we have the longest Christmas season in the world.

“Seeing lights being put up along the streets and these colored lanterns called 'parol' being put up at people's houses makes Christmas in the Philippines magical,” said Catriona on the video.

She also mentioned, “Christmas is such a colorful and festive time in the Philippines.

“It's always a celebration when Filipinos get together. We're loud, we love to have fun, we're fun people.”

The video, which was posted on both her Facebook and YouTube accounts, now has more than 1 million and 65,000 views, respectively.
