The Philippines had an awesome record in the Miss Intercontinental pageant in the past years.

StarStruck alumna Koreen Medina placed third runner-up back in 2013.

While reigning Miss World Philippines Katarina Rodriguez almost bagged the title in 2017 but finished as the first-runner up.

Meanwhile, Katarina and former Miss Universe Philippines MJ Lastimosa were the first ones to congratulate their fellow Pinay beauty queen for her historic win.
