LOOK: Filipino-Canadian YouTuber Mikey Bustos comes out
It's a new beginning for YouTuber Mikey Bustos.
In a post he shared on Easter Sunday, April 21st, the vlogger and singer came out to his 120K followers on Instagram.
In the said photo, Mikey is seen posing with longtime friend RJ Garcia in Puerto Galera with the caption, “Happy Easter! ️ #NewLife”
The 37-year old YouTuber also followed up the post by thanking his fans, friends, and family who supported his decision to come out to the public.
He wrote, “Thank you for the outpouring of love, guys.
“Figuring out how to navigate life in the most authentic and positive way has been such a long +37 yr journey for me, and at this moment, I feel I've reached some kind of karmic jackpot!”
“It's 2019 (as my dad put it when I came out to him a few weeks ago), and a great time to be alive LGBT.”
Several friends and personalities have also supported Mikey's announcement.
Michael John Tumanguil Bustos or Mikey Bustos is a Filipino Canadian singer and comedian who appeared in the reality television show Canadian Idol and is now a YouTuber based in the Philippines.
He holds four YouTube channels namely, Mikey Bustos, Mikey Bustos Vlogs, Mikey Bustos Music, and AntsCanada that holds more than 2 million subscribers in total.
