On another note, Angela Luz, mom of Paulina, wrote an endearing post to congratulate the new mayor and even expressed how she won't be surprised to see Vico sitting in Malacañang Palace one day.

She wrote, “It takes a man with a good heart to become a great leader. Congratulations on your landslide victory... so well-deserved.

“And I have every ounce of faith in you, and know in my heart that one day you will become PRESIDENT! Now more than ever, I am proud to say you are my favorite Sotto... and soon the whole country will know why.”

I'm sad that you probably won't have much time for @paulinavls now, but so happy for you, and for our country, and most especially the city of Pasig! 👍👍👍 @vicosotto I probably can't say much about your political career, but all I know is that you have been an amazing brother to my daughter... always there to support her in all her endeavours... even if Mina calls you annoying, I know she has been so happy to enjoy such a close relationship with you. ❤️ And on my part, you have always been so nice to me, so respectful... never judgemental about my past history, but just so warm that I was always comfortable in your presence. It takes a man with a good heart to become a great leader. 😊👍 Congratulations on your landslide victory... so well-deserved. 👏👏👏 And I have every ounce of faith in you, and know in my heart that one day you will become PRESIDENT! 💯 Now more than ever, I am proud to say you are my favorite Sotto... and soon the whole country will know why. 👍 I know in my heart that you will be one of the most beloved Mayors in Philippine history. ❤️ Congratulations!!! 👏👏👏

Family friends of the Sotto clan likewise did not forget to say their congratulations to the newly-declared Mayor.

Vic Sotto's long-time friend, Joey de Leon, expressed his joy for Vico's win. Never to shy away from making a funny remark, the Eat Bulaga! host jokingly said he predicted the mayoral run way back when Vico was still a young kid.

He wrote: “Joey: “Hinuhulaan ko Constancia na sa year 2019 ay magkakaanak ka ng Mayor! At ito namang anak ko sa 2022 ay patatakbuhin ko...para kunin maintenance ko!”
