By Cara Emmeline Garcia

Gabbi Garcia is known for beautiful face on-screen and her enviable fashion sense transcends fellow celebrities her age.

She is known for being a Kapuso millennial it-girl, afterall.

But in the words of Gabbi, growing up in the limelight is no easy feat as she grew up with a lot of self-doubt.

She says, “Well, I had a lot of self-doubt at first. I asked myself before, 'Is this really for me? Do I really deserve a spot in this industry?'”

As she grew older she admits being able to realize her place in the industry and knowing who to lean on when problems arise her way.

The Beautiful Justice actress claims, “As you grow older and as you face your problems, you begin to realize that your support group is always there. And your core, you always go back to it, your core values.

“I think we all have insecurities, it all just depends on how you handle them.”

Gabbi Garcia: Making It

As a force to be reckoned with, Gabbi understands how she can easily influence other people especially young girls who admire her.

She says, “Sabi nga nila with great power comes with great responsibility, so right now I know that social media is such a big thing for all of us.

“It's either you use it for your advantage or you use it to discourage people.

“I really feel like, having a lot of people looking up to you and having a lot of followers, it matters because it can actually change a person's life in your own little way just by being you or by using social media properly as a celebrity.”

Now that she's part of the new roster of Pond's #SeeWhatHappens movement, she says that the campaign gives a voice for celebrities like her.

“I feel like this advocacy speaks on behalf of the artists that we're also human beings--that we also have our flaws and our insecurities and self-doubt.

“We're all human and nobody's perfect and I think this is a big advocacy coming from Pond's because our followers can actually feel that they can relate to us. That we're relatable.” she concludes.
