READ: Anthony Rosaldo celebrates birthday by giving relief goods to Taal evacuees

Instead of hosting a party for his friends and loved ones, Kapuso singer Anthony Rosaldo celebrated his 26th birthday by giving relief goods to the people affected by the Taal Volcano eruption.

Anthony explained his decision in a post on Instagram, saying that what he did was the best birthday gift he received.

"I guess, I've already indulged in a lot [of party] in the passed years. This time, I wanted it to be meaningful," he explains.

"That's why instead of hosting a birthday party, I went to Bauan, Batangas to share my blessings to our kababayans."

Anthony gave relief bags to evacuees who have been staying in Bauan Technical High School for almost three weeks. Their homes were destroyed by earthquakes and ash fall.

"As we age, we see things differently. I guess now, happiness for me means seeing others happy," he continued.

"Despite their tragic loss and the inconveniences they've all experienced, I've seen a great amount of hope and joy in their eyes.

"And that is priceless! You will understand what I mean if you do the same so I strongly encourage everyone to please help out."

Anthony also sang a song by Gary Valenciano, Gaya ng Dati.
