The Philippines' King of Soul reposted it from an Instagram account named @extinguishthelight.
According to the original post, “A book released in 1981 by Dean Koontz titled “The Eyes of Darkness” details a “#Wuhan 400” virus will sweep across the earth in the year 2020.”
The online conspiracy theory points out that the American author predicted the arrival of coronavirus in Wuhan, China because of its uncanny parallel with the novel's Wuhan-400, a biological weapon developed in the same city where COVID-19 emerged.
As seen in the Instagram post, two pages of the book were highlighted in some parts to show evidence of the eerie coincidence.
The Instagram post then revealed that there is a different version of the novel where the Wuhan-400 was referred to as the Gorko-400.
“The Taiwan news shows different versions of the book where it's Russian and it's called the “Gorko-400.” And there are differences in the modern Coronavirus than the one displayed in this book, but the year prediction and city prediction with the same type of virus is enough to make you scratch your head.
“The name Wuhan was changed to Gorko in future publications, uncertain when but most likely sometime in the late 1990s. Also uncertain is why.”
