Paulina Sotto, daughter of Vic, is expecting a baby girl!
Two weeks after announcing that she is expecting her first child, Paulina Luz Sotto shared that she is expecting a beautiful, healthy baby girl.
On Instagram, the daughter of Vic and then partner Angela Luz shared the good news to her followers by taking a family photo with her husband Jed Llanes while carrying a pink rabbit doll.
She wrote in the caption, “OMG! We're having a girl!!!!”
The said gender reveal party took place on March 14, days before the announcement of an enhanced community quarantine on the whole island of Luzon.
And amid the crisis that's going on in the whole world, Paulina's mom Angela simply looked at the blessing that is right ahead of her --- the birth of her granddaughter.
On Instagram, Angela wrote, “I waited three years for this and when it finally happened, we found ourselves in the middle of a global crisis.”
She then recalled how she and Paulina put together a gender reveal party without knowing that the Metro Manila quarantine would take effect the following day.
“We scheduled this party many weeks ago and I remember talking to my daughter, and trying to figure out the date.
“She had taken a blood test to determine the gender of her baby, way back when things were fairly normal.
“I remember sitting in the room with her as blood was taken from her arm. Then we discussed the date for the gender reveal.
“It's so weird and eerie to think about it now because we chose the 14th of March because of my busy schedule. I was supposed to compete in Bali on the 10th of March, then fly back to Manila on the 11th, then fly to Italy on the 17th to dance in a show in Florence. Imagine that… I was supposed to fly to Italy!!! (I even had my ticket already).”
According to reports, the World Health Organization (WHO) has already declared Europe as the epicenter of COVID-19 with Italy being the worst-hit country. As of writing, the country is already in a lockdown with more than 60,000 confirmed cases and more than 6,000 deaths.
She continued, “So we settled on a date. [The] 14th of March not knowing that in just a few short weeks, our world would turn completely upside down.”
Despite all this Paulina and Jed decided to push through with the event despite having a shorter number of people on the guest list.
“News of the lockdown came shortly before the event. We pushed through because the guest list had whittled down to only a few people since a lot of them had to stay away because they had been 'exposed' and couldn't risk being near my daughter.
“To make a long story short, we had one last happy day with the family and found that our baby is a girl,” she narrated.
According to Angela, Paulina and Jed would be naming their daughter “Sachi.”
“Amidst all the chaos I would like to remain hopeful and optimistic, and completely trusting in God because I owe it to little Sachi to believe that she will be delivered into a world that is normal and safe and happy, and without the threat of a dreaded virus,” tells the soon-to-be lola.
She then gave her blessings and offered her prayers to her child and the baby she's carrying.
“My dearest Sachi, I love you more than you can possibly imagine.
“And to my @paulinavls, I will be with you every step of the way. There's not a thing I would not do for you and Sachi. I love you both so much.
“May God protect you and keep you safe, always.”
