The Korean idol training system birthed some of the most talented K-pop idols who everyone loves today. Not only are they talented in dancing and singing, but also have extremely attractive visuals that capture the hearts of fans.
However, aside from performing, some K-pop idols also formed special talents in another field in the entertainment industry - acting.
Some of the well-known K-pop idols who also exemplified their skills in acting like ASTRO's Cha Eun-woo and Bae Suzy, but as years progressed, more emerged to grace everyone's television screen.

Cha Eun Woo debuted as a part of the boy group ASTRO. The singer slowly transitioned to acting around 2014. In 2017, he portrayed a supporting character in the Korean drama 'The Best Hit." A year after, Eun Woo landed his first lead role in the recently concluded Korean drama 'My ID is Gangnam Beauty.'
The solo singer recently starred in the Korean version of 'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.' She was also seen in 'The Producers,' 'Bel Ami,' 'You're the Best,' 'Lee Soon-shin,' and 'Dream High.' IU is notably known for her song 'Good day.'
Suzy started as a member of JYP Entertainment's girl group, Miss A. And, just like IU, Suzy also starred in 'Dream High.' Being named the 'CF Queen,' Suzy also portrayed a lot of roles as the lead actress. Her recent projects were 'Gu Family Book' and 'Uncontrollably Fond.'
Baekhyun's major drama debut was with 'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo' as the 10th Prince Wang-eun. The EXO member also does a lot of hosting gigs.
D.O. started his acting career as Han Kang-woo in 'It's Okay That's Love.' He is now promoting a movie titled 'My Annoying Brother' with 'Oh, My Ghost!' and 'You're the Best' Lee Soon-shin actor Jo Jung-suk.
Sungjae is the youngest member of Cube Entertainment's boy group, BTOB. The actor is well-known for his role in 'Who Are You: School 2015' as Gong Tae-kwang. BTOB will also be holding a fan meeting in the Philippines this coming January 7, 2017.
There were a lot of doubts when the Reply franchise decided to give the leading role for 'Reply 1988' to the Girl's Day member. Hyeri, however, proved her acting skills in the said drama. She also starred in 'Entertainer' after 'Reply 1988's' successful run.
Solo singer Seo In-guk started in 'Love Rain,' which stars Girl's Generation member Yoona. The actor was then offered the leading role for 'Reply 1997' as Yoon Yoon-jae. His recent project is titled 'Shopping King Louie.'
Eun-ji was paired with Seo In-guk in 'Reply 1997.' The APINK member is also known for her vocal abilities, as she has lent her voice to do various OSTs for different Korean dramas.
Siwan's acting skills were put into the spotlight after his role in the 'Moon Embracing the Sun.' The ZE:A was also praised for his role in 'Misaeng.'
The lead singer of CNBLUE did various roles that are also related to his idol image, such as starring in 'You're Beautiful' and 'Heartstrings,' both as a band member. /
The Big Bang member is notably known for his role in the action-drama 'Iris.' He also starred in in the movies 'Commitment,' 'Tazza: The Hidden Card,' and 'Out of Control.'
Hoya is also part of 'Reply 1997's' cast. The Infinite member continued his acting career as Kang Rae-hoon in 'My Lovely Girl' and Byun Ji-hyuk in the 'Mask.' /
Yoona is one of the most idol-actors in Korea. Some of her notable roles are Seo Yoo-jin in 'Cinderella Man,' Jung Ha-na in 'Love Rain,' and Nam Da-jung in 'Prime Minister and I.' She has currently finished her latest drama, 'The K2,' with 'Healer' actor Ji Chang-wook.
Rain was one of the idols who paved way for singers to enter the acting world. Rain is well-known for starring alongside 'Descendants of the Sun' actress Song Hye-kyo in 'Full House.'
The f(x) member landed a role in 'The Heirs' and most recently 'My Lovely Girl.'
Eugene (Kim Yoo Jin) started as one of the members of S.E.S. back in 1997. She appeared in GMA Heart of Asia's 'Baker King, Kim Tak Gu,' and'All About My Mom.'

SHINee's Minho is more than just a pretty face and a talented rapper for he also showcased his acting skills in 'Hwarang,' 'To The Beautiful You,' and 'Yumi's Cells' which is currently airing on GMA Heart of Asia from Monday to Friday at 5:10 p.m.
Aside from her remarkable presence in Girls' Generation, Sooyoung also made a mark in her roles in 'Tell Me What You Saw,' 'Run On,' and 'Not Others.'
2PM's Taecyeon's acting career first soared when he participated in the 2011 Korean drama 'Dream High.' From then on, he pursued being both an idol and actor with his roles in 'Bring It On Ghost,' 'Blind,' and 'Vincenzo.'
V, a member of global K-pop sensation BTS, charmed ARMYs and the K-drama world with his performance in 'Hwarang.' He also exemplified his acting skills in IU's music video for her latest release 'Love Wins All.'
