Two automakers in China, Geely and Chery, have each manufactured an anti-Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) or anti-epidemic SUV.

In Geely's press release, the Chinese automaker proudly reported that they have developed a new N95 certified Intelligent Air Purification System (IAPS) in record time, as their response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The IAPS in Geely's Icon works in tandem with its air-conditioning system to isolate and eliminate bacteria and viruses, including COVID-19.

Geely also revealed that the Icon received 30,00 pre-orders online hours before it was formally launched on February 24 in Hangzhou City in China.

However, as of writing, Geely's Icon is yet to be available in the Philippines. Only the Geely Coolray and Azkarra are currently offered in the country.
