Studio Ghibli museum in Japan now has online tours

You can now get a glimpse into the wondrous world of Studio Ghibli through an exclusive online tour of the Studio Ghibli museum available on YouTube.

The museum is one of the must-visit spots in Mitaka, Japan but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the museum has been temporarily closed. The museum has opened a new YouTube channel (Ghibli Museum, Mitaka) for fans to view the museum virtually.

Among the online tour's features is the room called "Where a Film is Born" which shows the inspiration for Studio Ghibli's films.

Check out the museum's highlights including an installation room, amazing artwork, playgrounds, and meet all of Studio Ghibli's memorable film characters.

Admission for the museum is usually in high demand and should always be reserved in advance so now's the time to witness the magnificent museum on the internet.

The museum is also a combination of a children's museum, technology museum, a fine arts museum dedicated to the art and technique of animation.

Some attractions also include a replica of the Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro (1988), a café, bookstore, rooftop garden, and a theater for exclusive short films by Studio Ghibli.

Six of Studio Ghibli's films are among the 10 highest-grossing anime films in Japan namely: Spirited Away (2001), Princess Mononoke (1997), Howl's Moving Castle (2004), Ponyo (2008), The Secret World of Arrietty (2010), and The Wind Rises (2013).
