Miss World 2013 Megan Young wanted her voice to be heard more as an LGBTQIA+ ally, promising she would be proactive in supporting the community.

During an online press conference held on Monday, June 15, Megan revealed her dream for the community.

“I've been an ally of the LGBT community. But I think, what I really want to work on right now is how to become a proactive ally,” Megan shared.

“Yes, I'm an ally. But in retrospect, you have to think, 'Paano ba ako makakatulong sa community that I support?'

“So, that's one thing that I'm working on right now.”

Megan promised the LGBTQIA+ community that she will be more proactive moving forward.

“For me, it's being more proactive, this year and the years to continue, instead of just saying it.

“Kasi it's easy to say na isa kang ally, but being an ally all goes back to how you're able to support the community, what you are able to do as an ally.”

Megan, who is also an avid gamer and streamer, shared her dreams for the LGBTQIA+ community in this Kapuso Showbiz News video:

In support of Love Yourself Ph, Megan will face drag queen and gamer Red Fernandez, known as ReddieFerdie, in an online Mobile Legends tournament titled 'VersUs.'

The game will be streamed live on TaskUs's Facebook page on Friday, June 19, at 6 pm.
