Community Quarantine Update: List of places under ECQ, GCQ and MGCQ until July 15

On Tuesday evening, June 30, President Rodrigo Duterte and Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III announced which places in the country will be put under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), general community quarantine (GCQ), and modified general community (MGCQ) until July 15.

Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ)

Cebu City, the new hotspot of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, is the only place in the country that will be put under the ECQ until July 15.

On June 30, the Cebu City Health Department has reported a record-high of 353 new cases, bringing the total of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Cebu City to 5,494, with 2,723 recoveries and 169 deaths.

The DOH also reported other emerging COVID-19 hotspots in Mindanao, including Northern Mindanao, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, and Misamis Occidental.

General Community Quarantine (GCQ)

Other places in the country will be placed under GCQ, which has restrictions that are not as stringent as that of ECQ.

These are the places that will be under the GCQ until July 15:

1. NCR
2. Benguet
3. Cavite
4. Rizal
5. Lapu-lapu city
6. Mandaue City
7. Leyte
8. Ormoc
9. Southern Leyte
10. Talisay City (Cebu)
11. Minglanilla (Cebu)
12. Consolacion (Cebu)

Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ)

Numerous places in the Philippines will be put under MGCQ, an even more lenient form of quarantine.

Places that will be under the MGCQ until July 15 are the following:

CAR (Abra, Baguio, Ifugao, Kalinga)
Region 1: Ilocos Norte, La Union, Pangasinan
Region 2: Cagayan, Isabela
Region 3: Bataan, Laguna, Quezon, Lucena City
Region 4A: Batangas, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Angeles City
Region 4B: Palawan, Puerto Princesa City
Region 5: Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Naga City
Region 6: Capiz, Iloilo, Iloilo City, Negros Occidental, Bacolod
Region 7: Cebu province (except Cebu City and 2 municipalities mentioned above), Bohol, Negros Oriental
Region 8: Tacloban City, Western Samar
Region 9: Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur,
Region 10: Bukidnon, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro
Region 11: Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao City, Davao de Oro
Region 12: Cotabato, South Cotabato
Region 13: Agusan del Norte, Butuan City
BARMM: Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao

Places in the country that were not mentioned are automatically under the low-risk modified general community quarantine.
