Jelai Andres mourns the passing of her dog who contracted Parvo
Online content creator and influencer Jelai Andres shocked her followers with a YouTube vlog she just uploaded titled "ANOTHER HEART BREAK."
In it, Jelai is seen crying for her dog, Chicken, who has contracted a case of the Canine Parvovirus or Parvo.
"Hindi ako nakatulog, umaga na kakaisip ko kasi mayroon bad news 'eh.
"Na-confine kasi si Chicken kahapon, nandito lang naman 'yun sa bahay 'eh, iniingatan naman namin, hindi ko nga pinapalabas, hindi 'yun nalilingat sa'kin.
"Kaso mayroon akong dalawang malaking aso 'di ba? Si Gucci tsaka si Kitty. 'Eh 'yung gate namin may [bars] minsan nakakalabas sila pero d'yan lang sa labas. Complete vaccine naman sila kaso lang mayroong mga asong tagalabas na pumupunta doon, parang dinadalaw sila. Siguro may virus 'yun tapos pagpunta dito, nahawaan si Chicken," she tearfully said.
A few hours after she uploaded her vlog, she then posted a photo of Chicken on Instagram with the caption, "It still feels unreal my love. It hurts so bad. Ni hindi ko alam pano makaka move on. I love you so much. Thanks for everything."
Jelai got Chicken as a gift from Jon Gutierrez who is more popularly known by his screen name, King Badger.
According to the Blue Cross website,the Canine Parvovirus or Parvo is "a highly infectious disease that can be fatal. Many dogs who are diagnosed with parvo will die. The virus attacks cells in a dog's intestines and stops them from being able to absorb vital nutrients. This means that a dog or puppy will become very weak and dehydrated."
