Mikee Cojuangco, grateful to friends who showed support for her new role
Equestrian turned actress Mikee Cojuangco added another feather to her cap after she was elected a member of the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
It didn't take long before family and friends started sending their congratulatory messages soon after her new role made the news.
In Mikee's recent post, she gave a shoutout to everyone who has been very supportive of her endeavor.
She wrote, "A week ago today, I was elected a member of the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee. I am overwhelmed by the outpour of messages of congratulations and encouragement I have received from all corners of the world. and I would like to extend my most sincere gratitude to all of you!
"I also want to thank those who supported me and those who voted for me. God sent amazing angels to help me out (you know who you are). Salamat sa lahat ng aking mga kababayan na nagdadasal para magawa ko nang mabuti ang bagong responsibilidad ko. My heart is full.
With Mikee's message of gratitude, she also make a promise ot her fellow Filipinos.
"I will do my best to make you all proud! To God be the glory!
"Sa mga kapatid ko at kaibigan na napadalhan ng mga mensahe, bahala na sana kayong ipakita ito sa mga bumati para maihatid ang aking pasasalamat sa kanila. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Here's a photo of last week's session."
