Actress Alice Dixson understands the importance of bringing a pet into one's life.

This is why she considered a lot of factors before she decided to get her pet dog Blondie.

In a recent vlog, Alice recounted how she came to the decision to have Blondie as a pet.

Blondie is actually an aspin or asong Pinoy who happens to be part labrador retriever.

"Coming into the process of finding the right pet for me, we already knew that we wanted a lab (labrador retriever) kasi 'yung aso ko noong bata ako, I think from five to 13 years old was also a labrador. Male siya, black labrador retriever," she shares.

She also added that she liked the general temperament of the breed.

"Most of the labs that I've met, they're very mild-tempered, very good with children, very good with people, very calm, very loyal and very loving," she says.

Alice also wanted a dog that will inspire her to lead a more active lifestyle.

"Aside from that, I wanted a dog that would bring more activity into my life kasi naging sedentary ako and I wasn't doing as much outdoor activities as I wanted to," she recalled.

She also took into consideration her living space which she will be sharing with the dog.

"Now for me, because I live in a condo, we don't have a lot of running space for the dog. Also living in the city, it's really hard to find good parks kaya naisip ko what if we get a mini lab just like my Labrador in New York?" she says.

Luckily, Alice met Blondie who had characteristics that fit Alice's lifestyle.
