The exciting news about 'WandaVision' came with the release of its official trailer during the 2020 Emmys Awards.

The trailer opens with Scarlet Witch and Vision as a traditional married couple in what looks like a 1950s sitcom setting.

Halfway through the trailer, the superhero couple's environment suddenly turns colorful and time seems to have progressed, showing them in outfits from different decades.

At one point, they're seen cradling two babies who some suspect to be Wiccan and Speed, superheroes in the comic books who helped form the young Avengers.

The trailer also gave a glimpse of Scarlet Witch and Vision in their original costumes.

The six-part series reportedly takes place after the events of 'Avengers: Endgame,' which raises a big question: How is Vision alive?

'WandaVision' is also believed to set up the events for the upcoming 'Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness' film, where Elizabeth Olsen's character Scarlet Witch will have a co-starring role.

Other Marvel Comics Universe (MCU) characters set to make an appearance on the series are Darcy Lewis from the 'Thor' and 'Thor: The Dark World,' played by Kat Dennings, Monica Rambeau, played by Teyonah Parris's, and FBI agent Jimmy Woo from the 'Ant-Man and the Wasp,' played by Randall Park.

Also starring in 'WandaVision' are Kathryn Hahn, Debra Jo Rupp, and Fred Melamed.

No exact release date has been announced, but 'WandaVision' is expected to premiere before the end of 2020 on Disney Plus.

Aside from 'WandaVision,' Avenger fans are also eagerly anticipating 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,' starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, who will reprise their respective roles in the live-action series.

It was originally set to be the first of the MCU live-action series to premiere back in August. However, production was halted back in March due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

They have now resumed production for the said 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,' but no release date has been announced yet.
