Marian as a TV Mom

Marian Rivera is undoubtedly one of the most refreshing faces on Philippine television today. Young and vibrant, she nevertheless doesn’t hesitate to take on more mature and challenging roles. Why is lovely Marian Rivera already portraying the role of a mother? Of course, she has considered her age as a factor in taking the role as a mother. Plus, she likes working with her supposed daughters Jennylyn Mercado (Super S) and Nadine Samonte (Super T). But the very well-made script made Marian decide to accept the part. Moreover, she realized that this is another opportunity to prove her versatility. In Super Twins , Marian is Ester, the wife of Manuel and mother to the twins Sha-Sha and Tin-tin. She accidentally absorbs the power of the heart of the santelmo, which her children also get. As she suddenly becomes powerful, Ester reaches the point of insanity. “Naging baliw nga rin ako dito eh, doon sa first week ng show na okay naman, kasi magaganda ‘yung comments sa akin,” she states with pride. Marian’s character is set to have another big transformation that will totally affect the way the story runs. This part is set for another story on some other day, but Marian gives us a little peak into it: she will be wearing a costume herself. Super Twins is Marian’s first appearance in a primetime show, and working with the show’s cast, staff and crew proved to be a pleasing experience for her. With Dennis Trillo, who she shares her manager with, also in the project, the comedic Direk Dominic Zapata and the kind and wonderful people around her, Marian admits “enjoying her work”.
