Every IGOT7 knows that the biggest fans of GOT7 would have to be their ever-supportive parents -- they were there since day one, after all.

So when news of the K-pop boy group's departure from their agency, JYP Entertainment, hit the press yesterday, January 10, you can undoubtedly rely on these parents to become the anchor not only to their sons but also to all their adoring fans.

On Twitter, Raymond Tuan, the father of Mark Tuan, has been replying to fans' tweets concerning the septet's departure from the entertainment agency.

One of those tweets was made by a fan who said, “You know what my biggest regret? Not standing GOT7 early.”

To whom Raymond assured, “Once registered, for lifetime follow.”

In a separate post, the Tuan patriarch said, “I will be wearing this green dress at the airport to greet him [Mark] the day he comes back home.”

Along with the tweet is a set of photographs of Raymond with his son, him attending a GOT7 concert, and a cute illustration of himself designed by a fan.

Similarly, Mark's brother, Joey Tuan, also relayed his message to fans and thanked them for making his brother the person he is today.

Joey tweeted, “[I am] thankful for these last seven years and more. While my brother has been in Korea, our relationship has only gotten stronger, and it's because of the person you all made him be. #GOT7FOREVER.”

Meanwhile, Bambam's mother, Kochakorn Bhuwakul, couldn't help but look back on the memories the K-pop boy group shared in their seven years of togetherness.

She penned in Thai, “The words 'time flies so fast' -- I just realized and felt it today. All of the memories about the kids from the first day until now are still in my head.

“When it starts, there would definitely be an end -- this is the truth. May all of the kids have a prosperous and happy life. I'm confident of their deep bond and love for one another, and they won't leave each other.

“There must be a proper chance and time that they reunite to make all their beloved IGOT7 happy… there will come a day.”

On Monday, January 11, JYP Entertainment has confirmed that GOT7 is leaving the agency.

In a statement as reported by Soompi.com, it said, “JYP has held thorough discussions with the GOT7 members ahead of the expiration of their contract on January 19, 2021.

“As a result, both sides have agreed not to renew the contract while hoping for a fresh future.

“GOT7 has performed exceptionally as a global idol that represents K-pop since their debut in 2014.

“We genuinely thank GOT7 for being part of the growth of K-pop and JYP, as well as IGOT7 and all fans who have been a source of motivation to GOT7's activities with their endless support since their debut.

“Our official relationship ends here, but JYP will sincerely cheer on the new future that the GOT7 members will embark into.”

According to reports, each member will pursue their activities under different management while still bearing the GOT7 name.

News entertainment sites cited Jackson Wang will continue his global activities through his label Team Wang and carry out his activities in Korea through a separate agency. Jinyoung is reportedly on the final discussion to sign under BH Entertainment, and the same goes for Yugyeom who is allegedly in his final meetings with the higher-ups at AOMG.

Meanwhile, Youngjae was reportedly scouted by Sublime Agency, while JB has received offers from a famous hip-hop label that will support his endeavors as a solo artist.

Bambam will reportedly balance his activities both in Thailand and Korea, and he is currently in the talks to sign a contract with MakeUs Entertainment. Furthermore, Mark will return to his hometown in Los Angeles, where he will spend time with his family and is considering working on his solo music there.

Despite working under different managements, GOT7 members assure their doting fans that they'll be back soon.

“We, GOT7, will always meet you with even better albums and better music,” said member Jinyoung after bagging Best Album at the Golden Disc Awards.
