The story behind Ara Mina and Dave Almarinez's engagement
Former sexy actress Ara Mina and Dave Almarinez have recently announced their engagement last Tuesday, January 12, after they released a set of photographs from the big day.
Judging from the beautiful photographs released by Ara and Nice Print Photography, the engagement was planned to its minute details by Dave himself.
In a new post made by the events photography company, the Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC) President and CEO had initially planned to get down on one knee back in December. Still, due to the COVID restraints, he had no choice but to postpone.
“I was planning last December [pa],” Dave admitted.
“Kaya lang sobrang dami talagang nangyayari, so it was supposed to happen on January 8 tapos na postpone [ulit].”
Luck seemed to be on his side four days later when he convinced his partner to register with him at the San Pedro Laguna City Hall.
“Kinailangan na naming gawin. Sinabi ko, magrerehistro tayo sa San Pedro, Laguna.”
Turning to Ara, she revealed that she had no idea what was going on other than the fact that she finds it odd that she had to dress up to process their papers.
“Eto nga, plano lang is mag-register kaya lang sabi ko sa bahay pa lang, bakit pinagde-dress ako? Ganun ba mag-register sa Laguna? Kailangan formal?” she pondered.
“Nagulat na lang ako kung bakit puro bulaklak, so 'di pa nagsi-sink in sa akin [that he was going to propose].
“Lalo na nung ipinakita niya 'yung 'Will you marry me?' nakalutang ako, kasi 'pag nanonood lang ako ng proposal videos ay naiiyak ako.
“Am I dreaming? Parang ganun 'yung feeling.”

Following the announcement of her engagement, Ara Mina said that her soon-to-be-husband is her “most perfect gift” from God.
“Thank you for being my answered prayer,” she said in an Instagram post.
“Thank you for not giving up on me. You are the reason why we have stronger days together. God led us to each other for a greater purpose. Let us both live it with faith and love.
“Yes, I will marry you.”
Ara and Dave admitted their relationship back in 2019.
In a report, the 41-year-old actress said, “[Siya ay] masipag na tao, mabait, simple, at higit sa lahat napakatiyaga.”
