Kapatid ni Vico Sotto na si Carla Mumar, may pahayag sa titulong 'Anti-Corruption Champion'

Proud moment para sa pamilya ni Coney Reyes ang pinakabagong pagkilala na natanggap ni Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto mula sa US Department of State.

Kinilala ang batang meyor ng US Secretary of State na si Anthony Blinken bilang isa sa mga international anti-corruption champions.

Kaya ganun na lang ang saya ng kapatid ni Vico na si Carla Mumar sa achievement na ito ng kanyang younger brother.

Sa Instagram post ni Carla, “Proud of you @vicosotto! Thank you to your entire team who works with you and supports you!”

May pabiro pa itong hirit sa mommy nila na si Miss Coney, “Maiiyak na naman si Mama nito. Love you, Ma! @coneyreyes @lamumar @macymumar.”

Anak ni Coney si Carla at LA Mumar sa yumaong basketball player na si Larry Mumar, samantalang si Vico ay only son ng Love of My Life actress kay Bossing Vic Sotto.

Base sa Twitter post ng US Department of State, napabilang si Mayro Vico sa 12 international anti-corruption champions dahil sa mga ipinatupad nitong programa sa Pasig City.

“Mayor Sotto is a standard-bearer for prioritizing anti-corruption and transparency in campaigns and office.

“He established an information and complaints hotline, formally involved civil society organizations in the city's budgeting and policy making, and mandated decrease in value of all city government contracts to reduce bribery in the contract awarding process.”

Ayon sa ulat ng Philippine Daily Inquirer noong July 2020, mahigit Php 400 million ang natipid ng local government sa pagsasaayos ng kanilang procurement process sa loob lamang ng isang taon.
