Vlogger and dog trainer Tristan Huertas on his symptoms: “Noong una talaga akong tinakbo sa ospital, akala namin acid reflux lang…”

Vlogger and dog trainer Tristan Huertas of Milo & Friends is set to undergo a heart bypass operation after suffering from an aneurysm.

On February 17, Tristan first announced on Milo and Friends' official Facebook page that he was hospitalized due to an acid reflux attack.

He even apologized to his followers for not being able to post new videos and other content for a while now.

Then on February 27, it was revealed that Tristan needs to undergo a heart bypass operation after an angioplasty procedure failed to remedy the blocked arteries.

It turns out what Tristan first thought as an acid reflux attack was actually an aortic aneurysm or aneurysm that occurs in the heart's arteries.

On February 28, Tristan narrated what had happened to him in an emotional Facebook live video.

He started the video by assuring his followers by saying, “Huwag kayo mag-alala. Okay naman ako dito. Malakas naman ako actually. Kaya lang ganito 'yung nangyari sa'kin.”

Tristan then went into the details of his current health dilemma.

“Noong una talaga akong tinakbo sa ospital, akala namin acid reflux lang. Maraming may sakit sa'tin na acid reflux. So 'yun, nadala ako sa ospital, diyan sa may Antipolo.

“Nakalabas na ako tapos okay na ulit ako. Tapos nagtataka ko laging sumasakit pa rin 'yung dibdib ko.

“Tapos kahapon ginigising ako, hindi ako magising. Putlang-putla raw ako. Akala nila mamamatay na ko.

“Kinagat pa nga 'yung daliri ko. Ayan o, may sugat. Hindi raw ako magising-gising.”

And when he was rushed to the hospital, that's when Trsitan found out about his real medical condition.

“Pina-test na meron palang bara 'yung ugat ko. Meron daw akong aneurysm. So, kailangan operahan ako, guys. Anyway, kayang-kaya ko naman. Kayang-kaya ko naman. Sa tingin ko makaka-survive tayo rito.”

He then started getting emotional when he thanked all of his supporters who reached out to him.

“Nagpapasalamat talaga ako sa lahat ng nagme-message sa'kin. Hayaan n'yo, guys. Lalakasan ko talaga loob ko. Para ano…marami pa akong matulungan.”

Tristan burst into tears as he revealed his worries amid his current health crisis.

“Tsaka 'yung anak ko, batang-bata pa 'yung anak ko. Kaya talagang sinisipagan ko talaga. Hindi ko talaga expected na may dinadala na pala akong sakit.

“Sabi nga ng doktor buti nga nakaligtas daw ako roon, kasi dalawang beses akong inatake sa puso.

“Pasenysa na kayo, guys. Ayoko magpakita ng kahinaan ko, pero nalulungkot ako.

“Ayoko pang mamatay. Madami pa kong gagawin. 'Tsaka bata pa 'yung anak ko. Madami pa kong aso. Gusto ko pang tumulong sa ibang tao.”

The popular vlogger believes that his lifestyle as a workaholic was the main reason for his health problem.

He confessed to working even in the wee hours of the morning, just so he could achieve his dreams.

Tristan, however, encouraged his followers to prioritize their health while they're young.

“Kaya kayo, guys. Alagaan n'yo 'yung sarili n'yo. Habang bata pa tayo alagaan n'yo 'yung sarili n'yo, 'yung mga mahal n'yo sa buhay. Hindi natin hawak 'yung buhay natin.”

'Heneral Luna' and 'Encantadia' actor John Arcilla, whom Tristan and his famous dog Milo has previously worked with, expressed his support by posting encouraging words in the comments section.

John also posted on his own Facebook page and asked people to pray for Tristan's safety and fast recovery.

Tristan first rose to fame after the video of his dog Milo following his instructions, went viral in 2018.

Milo has since appeared in several TV shows and starred in Sarah Geronimo's film titled 'Unforgettable,' while Tristan has had a number of celebrity clients as a dog trainer including Ika-6 na Utos star Ryza Cenon and Kapuso host and reporter-anchor Susan Enriquez.
