Look who's back in Manila!

After spending more than a year in Bali, Indonesia due to COVID-19, actress Maxene Magalona is back in Manila to return to her family and friends.

In an Instagram post made on Thursday, March 11, the 34-year-old, posted a photo of herself in her hotel room alongside the caption, “Mabuhay.”

In another post, she reflected how she can't believe she has made her return to the city after living for a year in a tropical paradise and taking care of her mental well-being.

Like most people who have traveled, Maxene will be undergoing quarantine for two weeks to ensure the safety of those around her.

She wrote in the said post, “There are moments when I still can't believe that I'm finally back in Manila after living in Bali for more than a year.

"Being on a tropical island for a long time, and then having to come back to a city will not be the smoothest transition.

“Thankfully, I have to stay in quarantine for a couple of weeks before I can 'go back to the real world' which will give me enough time to adjust.”

The daughter of the late King of Pinoy Rap Francis Magalona added that the experience is something new for her, given that she and her husband, Rob Mananquil, “weren't living in strict lockdown” in Bali.

She explained, “Everyone was free to go around wherever and wherever.

“So, instead of resisting and complaining about not having as much freedom as I used to, I've decided to use this time in quarantine for self-reflection, detoxification, and integration.”

Maxene said that she'll be continuing her yoga practice while under quarantine, including celebrating “Nyepi” or “The Day of Silence” in Bali.

According to her, the celebration is an important day for meditation, reflection, and fasting with the purpose of “returning to one's self.”

She relayed, “Beginning on Sunday [March 14], I will use my time in quarantine to reflect on everything I've experienced in the past year, meditate for longer hours, and also do a juice fast so I can cleanse and detoxify my body.

“This will be my offering to God as a sign of my infinite gratitude and devotion.”

While Maxene has returned home, it is unclear if her husband Rob Mananquil came with her.

But based on the latter's Instagram story, it seems like he has continued to stay in Bali.
