How Neri Naig-Miranda established her 10 businesses

By Racquel Quieta

Through the years we've seen former actress-turned-entrepreneur Neri Naig-Miranda open one business after the other and post about some of the properties she's acquired on social media.

Truly, she's come a long way in her entrepreneurship journey, and she's lived up to her moniker “Wais Na Misis.”

In her recent guest appearance on 'iJuander,' Neri shared her humble beginnings and how she has slowly built her own empire.

Neri also revealed that she has always been resourceful and persistent when it comes to finding ways to earn for her family.

She said she took after her mom when it comes to being “madiskarte” and dreaming big.

(laughs)”

Although Neri has a slew of successful businesses now, she revealed that she had failed so many times in the past.

“Franchise dito, franchise dun.

“So, wala. Lugi. Talagang ang laki ng lugi ko noon, like mga PhP500,000 (or) PhP600,000.

“Ganun 'yung franchise.

So, how did Neri manage to establish the many businesses she has now? It was through her Neri's Gourmet Tuyo business.

In 2015, she started her gourmet tuyo business using her own recipe.

At first, it was only her friends who ordered from her. Then she started selling her gourmet tuyo in bazaars.

It became an instant hit and was always sold out. So, from there her gourmet tuyo businesses started growing and growing.

“From there, from PhP3,000, naging PhP12,000, naging PhP20,000, PhP25,000, PhP50,000 hanggang nung nagkaroon ako ng PhP100,000 and then PhP250,000 and PhP500,000 and then parang 'yon, 'Oh my god!

Neri said her husband, Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, also gave her advice on how to handle her money.

At present, Neri has ten businesses, namely Very Neri Beddings, Very Neri Sleepwear, Very Neri Wedding Gowns, Accessories, Ang Paboritong Suka ng Asawa Ko, The Wais Planner, Neri's Bakeshop, Neri's Not So Secret Garden, Neri's Cottage, and the Miranda's Rest House.

Plus, she has also finally acquired a lot for her dream farm.

Neri said that her greatest inspiration in everything she does is her family.

She also said that she works hard so she can somehow repay the sacrifices of her equally wais mom.
