Tunay na Buhay: Is Allan K willing to undergo a nose job?
In his recent guest appearance on Tunay na Buhay, Allan K talked about his rise to fame and how his life has changed over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As we all know by now, Allan K went through one struggle after the other since early last year.
Aside from closing down his comedy bars Klownz and Zirkoh and surviving COVID-19, he also experienced losing two of his siblings.
Allan told Tunay na Buhay host Pia Arcangel that he absolutely turned to God during this difficult period in his life.
He said, “Siyempre ang faith ko talaga siguro kay Lord, hindi talaga 'yon matitibag ng kahit na anong pandemya, kahit na anong natural calamity.
“'Di ba after nung na-COVID ako, parang ano pa bang kinatatakutan ko. Hello? Napaka-detrimental, napaka-deadly ng dumapo sa'kin, binuhay ako ni Lord.
“So, what is there na katatakutan?”
Despite going through a number of trials since the pandemic began, Allan K still recognizes the many blessings that came into his life, like starting a new business and moving to a new home.
“'Yung luma kong bahay kasi noon ko pa talaga siya gustong ibenta kasi it was so big, Ms. Pia, na umabot na sa point na natakot na ko kasi ako na lang mag-isa doon sa buong bahay, and nalungkot na rin ako.
Allan K also said, “I'm so proud of our restaurant kasi ang mga ingredients namin galing talaga sa Japan. We have our own machine na ramen-maker, ganun.”
During the Tunay na Buhay episode, Allan K was asked by his former colleague Andrew De Real whether he would be willing to undergo a nose job if a famous and reputable beauty expert offered to sponsor the enhancement and give him an additional P1M.
Allan answered, “Sa edad na ganito, siyempre ayoko na. Hello? Pinagkakitaan ko na 'to ng husto.
“At para ano? Kasi nakita naman natin…nakita ko na kasi eh. Miss Pia, oh, iko-close up ko ha.
“O, tumangos. Patangusin ko. Gumanda ba ko? 'Di ba hindi? Tumangos lang.
“Maraming salamat sa mga nagmahal sa mukhang ito…maliban sa nanay at tatay ko.”
Allan K also demystified his screen name and revealed what the letter K really stands for.
Turns out K actually stands for Quilantang.
“Apelyido ko talaga Quilantang, 'di. ba? Pero Q-u-i. Eh noong araw 'pag tinatawag ako ng mga bading, ginagawang “Ki.” Nilandi, ginawang “K.” Nagustuhan ko 'yung tunog, ginamit ko na.”
