Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is staging anew the PelikuLAYA: LGBTQIA+ Film Festival to mark Pride Month.

The virtual film festival, running from June 4 to 30, carries the theme "Sama-Sama, Lahat Rarampa!" and will feature a wide selection of local and international films.

For PhP99, viewers can access movies including I Love You. Thank You by Charliebebs Gohetia, Ang Huling Cha-Cha Ni Anita by Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo, Mga Gabing Kasing Haba ng Hair Ko by Gerardo Calagui, and Best. Partee. Ever. by HF Yambao, among others.

Meanwhile, the movies Budjang, A, Alex & Aki, and Doon sa Isang Sulok can be viewed for free. The four mentioned films tackle HIV/AIDS in line with the festival's desire to raise awareness on the issue.

Joel Lamangan's Lihis and Danny Zialcita's T-Bird at Ako will have a one-time free screening.

The award-winning Portrait of a Lady on Fire by Celine Sciamma will make its Philippine online debut for PhP220 inclusive of seven-day access to expire within 48 hours after the first play.

The festival will go beyond movies as well with other activities lined up including lectures and a fun drag yoga event.

Not to be missed are the talks such as “My Coming Out Story” to be moderated by actor Phi Palmos on June 12.

Actor John Lapus will chat with Liza Dino, Ice Seguerra, Andoy Ranay, Noel Escondo, and Perci Intalan on the topics of SOGIE Equality Bill and same-sex unions. Their talk, “P'wedding Pwede Na Ba?” is scheduled for June 26.

“To Love Some Buddies” on June 27 will be moderated by Miss Trans Global 2020, Mela Habijan. The discussion will center on the importance of support systems in the LGBTQIA+ community and will be attended by personalities from various LGBTQIA+ groups.

The movies are available for viewing on FDCPChannel.ph. Meanwhile, the talks will be streamed live on FDCP's website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel.
