Hollywood A-listers and fellow stars in the music industry have spoken out and showed their support for pop icon, Britney Spears, after she gave a 24-minute statement about her controversial conservatorship.

Among them is Britney's ex-boyfriend and "Cry Me A River" singer, Justin Timberlake, whom she dated from 1999 to 2002.

In a series of tweets, Justin Timberlake condemned how his former beau was treated by people behind her conservatorship.

Part of Justin's tweets reads: “After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time.

“Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what's happening to her is just not right.

“No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body.”

He ended his message by sending his and his wife Jessica Biel's love and support to Britney.
