Former GMA News reporter Rhea Santos is set to graduate from her two-year program in Canada this July.
On July 11 (Philippine time), she shared her graduation photo on her Instagram.
"Got my grad photos and I can't wait to officially graduate this July.
"Done with my two-year program, got a job that I'm passionate about and currently working towards reaching our family's goal.
"Courage is without fear and uncertainty... but with determination and faith, HE will lead you where you ought to be.
"Exciting times ahead. Let's do this," she wrote in her caption.
Former newsroom colleagues showered her post with love and support.
Unang Hirit host Mariz Umali commented: "Ang galing galing mo. Congratulations and God bless you and your family more."
Also spotted in the comments section is news anchor Pia Arcangel who wrote: "Wooohoo!!! Congratulations, Rhea!!"
This feat, however, did not come easy for Rhea.
In September 2020, the former Kapuso reporter shared the struggles she faced as a working student. She revealed that juggling work and studies tested her "patience, time management skills, physical, emotional, and mental strength."
But albeit being "tired and preoccupied," Rhea still said that she's grateful for learning new things.
"It is with learning something new that we become empowered to do more and be better. We can do this," she added.
Rhea was enrolled in a Broadcast and Online Journalism program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. She finished her studies last May and is set to attend the graduation ceremony this July.
Currently, she is a news anchor for Omni News: Filipino Edition in Canada.
