LOOK: LJ Reyes registers for overseas voting in New York City

By Dianne Mariano

Kapuso actress LJ Reyes did her part as a citizen by registering for overseas voting in New York City today, September 29.

The celebrity mother of two shared a series of photos showing her with Deputy Consul General Arman Talbo of the Philippine Consulate General in New York and a snap of herself getting her thumb's fingerprint.

In the caption, LJ said that she had a great talk with the Deputy Consul General and teased that a new project is in the works.

She wrote, “What a meaningful afternoon chat today with Deputy Consul General Arman Talbo of the Philippine Consulate General in New York. Exciting project ahead!”

While she kept mum about this upcoming project, the Kapuso host also gave a message of encouragement about registering to vote overseas.

“But for the meantime, it is never too late to exercise your right to vote even when you're abroad! Walk-ins are now accepted under limited capacity,” she added.

The Philippine Consulate in New York also reposted a photo of LJ and Arman, who were having a chat, and wrote, “Thank you for registering for overseas voting!”

Just like LJ, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach also registered to vote in Abu Dhabi just in case she won't be in the Philippines during election day (May 9, 2022).

Apart from the two, other local celebrities who became registered voters for the upcoming elections include Barbie Forteza, Pauleen Luna-Sotto, and Bea Alonzo, who recently reactivated her voter's registration record.
