One of the celebrities who push relief efforts to assist Odette-hit victims is Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez who called out individuals donating rubbish clothing to affected residents.

In a series of Instagram stories, the former beauty queen showed an exact sample of inappropriate clothing donations and strongly reminded the public to be more considerate in giving out clothes.

“Don't donate clothes you won't even wear….,” Katarina said.

“Hindi naman dahil walang wala na sila eh deserve nila ang basura ng mga tao sorry pero yung ibang nakuha namin na donation sabrang dumi at butas butas na,” she added.

In another story, she revealed yet an even more offensive donation. It appears that there are people who disappointingly give used undergarments.

“Also don't donate your dirty panty or dirty underwear…. If it's not wearable (essential) clothes don't send it,” she said.

“Please donate appropriate clothing,” she closed.

Typhoon Odette has made at least nine landfalls in parts of Visayas and Mindanao. After its onslaught, it made massive devastation that left hundreds of individual dead, thousands homeless, and millions worth of infrastructure damages.

Among the celebrities who also experienced the wrath of the typhoon were Manilyn Reynes, Slater Young and Kryz Uy, and Tom Rodriguez.

Various stars also used their voices to gather help for the hard-hit areas. Among them were Siargao-based couple Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo who vowed to contribute to the rehabilitation of the island.

Andi has declared to donate her vlog's earnings for the victims of the typhoon while Philmar and his team headed off to far-flung regions of the island to provide food and essential supplies to victims who were yet to be reached by government assistance.
