'Unang Hirit' host Suzi Abrera thanks husband Paolo for his support during her quarantine

Long-time Kapuso host Suzi Abrera took to social media to express her appreciation to her husband Paolo Abrera for being the best “quaranteam mate.”

In her Instagram post, Suzi shared her selfie with Paolo and assured everyone that she's on the way to recovery.

Suzi posted, “Sick like most Everyone we know! But slowly getting better, grateful for my quaranteam mate @paoloabrera In sickness and In health indeed.”

She also reminded her followers to take extra precaution amid these troubling times with many people getting sick due to COVID-19.

“Get well soon po sa mga maysakit and to those who have managed to elude Omicron…. Stay safe and healthy!”

For his part, Paolo Abrera shared on his Instagram page an interesting book he's reading, while under home quarantine.

He said, “Great quarantine read. Shakleton's fateful trans-antartic expedition in 1914. No goretex and heated vests, no sat-phones or GPS, no powerbars, no safety nets. Just pure grit and chest hair.”

“Makes sitting out a 14-day quarantine at home seem like a cakewalk. Great reminder of how lucky many of us are actually [smiling face emoji] Hang in there guys, this too shall pass,” he added.

Meanwhile, Suzi's co-star on Unang Hirit, Connie Sison has been updating people on social media that she's also isolating at home, after being exposed to a COVID-19 individual.

According to her recent update on Instagram this morning (January 12), the award-winning news personality confirmed that she's still COVID-free based on her latest antigen test.

Connie stated, “Oh hello Mr. Sun. It's another beautiful day indeed as I woke up to some good news.”

“I'm still Covid-NEGATIVE in my antigen test this morning! Hooray!! Thank you Lord Jesus. Maybe my sniffles are caused by my usual allergy? Back pain, maybe I need to get a new bed in our guest room?”

Unfortunately, their colleague, GMA News pillar Arnold Clavio tested positive from the highly-contagious virus last Sunday (January 9).
