Congratulations, Jason and Vickie!
After winning in the local elections last month, Jason Abalos made a surprising announcement today, June 2. He confirmed on his Instagram that he's already engaged with former beauty queen Vickie Rushton.
Jason, who won a seat as a provincial board member in Nueva Ecija, posted a photo hugging Vickie and captioned it saying, “Habambuhay ko pasasalamat ang Panginoon sa buhay mo Baba. Patugtugin na ang kampana! 😘❤️ 9/1/21.”
Immediately, the post got thousands of likes and several celebrities also congratulated them for their engagement, including Max Collins, Maja Salvador, and Rodjun Cruz.

The former Las Hermanas actor renewed his contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center in November 2021, but he has been with the Kapuso Network since 2017.
Meanwhile, Vickie won as Mutya Ng Pilipinas in 2011 and placed first runner-up in Binibining Pilipinas 2018.
