Andi Eigenmann expresses frustration over people not properly disposing of their garbage

By Aedrianne Acar

Former actress and social media influencer Andi Eigenmann reminds everyone visiting Siargao to properly dispose of their garbage.

In a series of posts on Instagram Story, the daughter of multi-awarded actress Jaclyn Jose expressed her utter disappointment, after seeing discarded garbage on the beach.

“The least you could do is be mindful enough to take your leftover alak and pulutan and kalat with you after you enjoy a fun night of inuman at the beach,” she wrote in her caption. “Or did you expect our sea patrol kids to be the one to pick up after your trash?”

In a report by Reuters, 80 percent of global ocean plastic comes from Asian rivers. In the same article, it stated that the Philippines contributes a third of that total, based on the 2021 information of the Oxford University's Our World in Data.
