Maxene Magalona's take on fashion

We  hate her for making the lives of the children in Mga Basang Sisiw   miserable as the scheming and deceitful Vicky. But in real life, did you know that the Kapuso actress Maxene Magalona is a simple and sweet girl?

Last October 9, 2013, GMANetwork.com caught up with the Kapuso actress for an exclusive interview.

We admire how she effortlessly carries herself with a flair for fashion. We took the opportunity to ask the Kapuso actress for some tips on how to be stylish like her as she shares what to wear on a casual day, an evening with friends, make-up and more.

“Ang fashion advice ko is to always dress according to your personality, kasi that's how you will be able to express yourself and carry yourself,” was the natural beauty’s fashion advice.

Casual wear

For casual days, “I like wearing typical jeans, tank top, o kaya shorts, loose top, something very comfortable and then flats.”

Evening wear

According to Maxene, it’s best to keep it simple for evening events or partying with friends.

"I like wearing dresses kasi isang suotan lang sometimes it's also nice to look casual at night. You also have to dress according to the occasion kung ano man 'yung pupuntahan mong event. An evening out with friends would be a simple black dress or any simple dress,” she says.

Showing her feminine side,"I like kasi very feminine pieces, girly looking stuff, 'yun 'yung mga gusto ko suotin and a pair of heels, and then make-up.”

Accessories

"I don't like to accessorize so much unlike Vicky. Vicky likes to accessorize. Ako personally, hindi ko talaga gusto masyado. I wanna keep it minimal and simple as possible,” was her personal opinion when it comes to accessories.

Fashion type

What type of fashion does she like? Does she prefer to dress according to the fashion trend or is she the trendsetter? Or does she like it simple, classy or elegant?

"I'm very girly, I like cute stuff, minsan black and white, minsan colorful outfits depende talaga sa mood ko.” 

She also prefers to go with class, "the little black dress or a pair of jeans with a white tank top, ganun 'yung style ko, very classic.”

Fashion must-haves

“The little black dress, a pair of pumps, you can never go wrong with a pair of pumps. A good pair of jeans that fit you well, that don't only look good on you, but also you feel good in them.”

Make-up

"I don't put make-up every day, pero if ever man concealer lang, lipstick, at saka powder, a little blush when I go at night, very simple.”

For those who want to be fashionable like Maxene, this is the most important thing you should remember, "whatever you're wearing as long as you feel good on what you're wearing, you'll be okay. Hindi 'yung uncomfortable ka.”
