Although Jason Abalos and Vickie Rushton wanted to get married in early 2022 but they had to schedule it for a much later date due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The two got secretly engaged in September 2021, but only shared the news in June of this year.

In her Instagram post, now Mrs. Abalos stated that their wedding was almost ready, but COVID-19 got in the way.

Vickie recalled, “Our wedding which was scheduled earlier this year was postponed due to the pandemic. We tried to push through with the original plan (even thought of having a civil wedding first) because everything was almost ready.

“Unfortunately, my family's flight got canceled, that's when we decided to move the wedding. So, we replanned and had the most perfect wedding.”

She also took the opportunity to thank everyone who made her dream wedding possible.

“To our wedding suppliers, we can't thank you enough for your time, effort, ideas, generosity, and love that you have shown and given us in making this day finally happen. Everything's so beautiful and better than what we have imagined.” Vickie posted.

The former beauty queen continued, “To our planner and coordinator, Ms. Princess @eventsbymissp , thank you so much for your time and effort in making our wedding day special. Kahit sobrang mahiyain ako na ayaw ko maka abala, thank you for telling me “ituring mo ako na best friend mo” Hihi! There were days that I'd get so anxious but in the end, it was perfectly planned.”

“Jason and I just wanted an intimate wedding with our family and close friends that would reflect how we are as a couple - simple, laidback, and lowkey.”

“A HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU! Maraming salamat. Madamo gid nga salamat sa inyo tanan.”

The couple's beautiful wedding was held at the San Antonio De Padua Parish Church in Nasugbu, Batangas.
